Data Execution Prevention??

Post by SuperQuaise »

Hi, I have been having a lot of problems with my PC lately, and every time I log on the Data Execution Prevention window pops up and wants to close eithet UserInit, Explorer. Run a dll as an app..... etc. I reformatted and have the same problem still. Is it a virus or something I can fix in a different manner?

Just turn DEP off.
If you have half-decent anti virus it will do a much better job of blocking suspect code execution.

Assuming you have XP, right click on My Computer  Click on Properties  Click on the Advanced tab  Click on the Settings button in the Performance section  Click on the Data Execution Prevention tab
