Win2k3 Server Roaming Profile problem.
So as you can see from above my profile has multiple folder names and for the life of me I dont know how A: It happened and B: To fix it.
We use roaming profiles where I work so we have your usual user profile path and home folder path. For some reason the above has happened and I cannot sync with my profile because of this problem. My profile is the 3rd and 4th (should only be one how I have two I dont know) from the top the rest have other account usernames associated with them and I am pretty sure they are also suffering from sync problems although they have not complained so I would not know. The 4th one down appears to be the most recent with regards to creation date.
Things I have tried to resolve this problem include A: chkdsk on the drive, there were errors however mine was not one of them. And B: renaming the folder name itself. Whenever I did B all folder names would change with the name I put in eg: the name of the user it is meant to be. For further clarification this folder is set within the user profile option in AD.
Anybody to help? I have no idea what to type in Google for help either .

Looks like replication problems... So it's a 2003 domain? What Windows version are you logging on with?

Oh, something to try, if you haven't already... Make sure offline folder caching is off, and is folder redirection enabled?

Re: Win2k3 Server Roaming Profile problem.
Just woke up so sorry for the late reply .
It is a 2003 Domain and AFAIK my boss (just recently) disabled offline folder caching. I am using Win7 to login with.
Any fix ideas?

Anybody else in the office having problems? Might be Win 7 causing the issue... I'm also using Win 7 as my primary OS at work, but don't have a profile set up on the network so haven't noticed any such problem.
Hmmm, will check if anybody else is having issues like yours...

Re: Win2k3 Server Roaming Profile problem.
Try this if its not too much work.
make a copy of your profile away from C:\User or documents and settings or where ever the profile sits.
Check if the profile is multiplied on the server.
If it is remove them
Then disconnect windows 7 from the domain.
Delete all your local domain profiles on windows 7
Join the machine back to the domain check that your profile is working.
Then copy your old files from your profile back.
But only copy your document files not profile settings and all that.
