Haven't Read the whole magazine so far but there are a couple of things that aren't up to scratch:

Page33: Have you looked at the price of the MSI 4890 or any other brand? http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/produc ... s_id=20434
http://www.landmarkpc.co.za/store/biost ... -2688.html
http://www.sybaritic.co.za/store/index. ... 74_224_562

Page 36: Western Digital do make solid state drives: http://www.siliconsystems.com/ as of March 2009 and i'm sure the take over of silicon systems had been going on for a while. Its illogical that one of the biggest hdd makers would not build ssd's when thats the future of their business.

Page 46:
Build a R600 home cinema installation
I feel that is rather misleading, because that cost does not include purchasing a projector (>R8000?). (unless of course this is covered by the disclaimer at the bottom  ) Secondly, the article lacks any depth beyond installing a projector, how about a decent feature on building a home cinema setup up, including TV tuners and audio? I bought this magazine over another one because I got the impression that there was a proper, in depth article on home cinema from the cover?

And finally, for picture 10 on page 47, unless your comment regarding it was sarcasm, I fail to see what you mean by how good a job it does? There is a clearly defined region in the middle because the 2 boards are misaligned. This misalignment can be seen at the top of the boards as well. and the colours look washed out. :?

When I am sick - Rosebank is too far to go to.

I think I will not resubscribe when the time comes. Safer to pick them up at the store.

An auction would be fun.

PCF June ah what a mag :P.

My favorite part of the whole mag? The pr0n connotations on the cover. :P

PCFormat is not complete on the Format part so it reads "Forn" (short for fornicate) because the second loop of the "m" is covered by her hair so it looks like a "n". Not a problem in itself but when you look at the cover model it appears that she is wearing nothing but a belt! I know that she is wearing bikini bottom but it does not leave much to the imagination :P.

You decide.

Vince, as a subscriber I'd seriously get on the phone to them about this. I don't think that the forum exists to resolve their subscription issues, but it is a SERIOUSLY bad show by them to just completely ignore the issue after KB posted and said he'd look into it. If there are other subscribers who didn't get theirs, apart from you and Tribble, who are not regular forumites, I doubt that they've been as silent about it as you have!

I will get on the horn to them today Stu... I'm pretty mad about this... if I had to skip one payment to them (for example), I'm sure they would tear me a new one...

Thanks KB... I replied to you... :)

I got hold of the subs department, and they said that the Post Office had sent back thousands of copies... but that they would then resend mine to me, and I should have it within the next 7 to 10 working days...

Here's hoping...
