The only possible cause that I know of would be invalid XHTML - I just validated the default style (except the Moderator Control Panel and User Control Panel, those would take me the best part of a weekend), and the validation issues that I found were minor issues that couldn't have caused your problem.

The issues that I found were:
  • On viewtopic.php and faq.php, the "Go to top" image was missing its ALT attribute.
  • The search image button in the header was using a deprecated attribute.
  • Some invalid markup (a <div> tag within a <span> tag) on the memberlist.
Of course, I fixed all of those.

I still maintain that this is a browser/phone bug, and NOT an issue with the forum itself.

It's possible.

though i don't see why the issues with emotes has started happening in the last week when i haven't updated or changed any settings. Unless its an issue on the opera mini servers or on mtn's side?

I wouldn't rule that out - how Opera Mini works is that a proxy server fetches the page, reformats it in a proprietary markup language, and delivers that to your phone. The idea is to save on mobile bandwidth.
It's also supposed to deal with any mobile compatibility issues, but it doesn't look like that's happening.

I suppose the way to prove or disprove this is to test with an alternate mobile phone browser (if you can find a decent one out there).

I have the same error with my opera mini.

Try skyfire or other such 3rd party mobile browsers

but the problem is seemingly random. It lasts 2 refreshes and then its normal. I'll see what else there is for phones.

That would explain the random logouts then. It is when I've eaten all the cookies ;)

Oh, I've increased the length of time that sessions stay valid for, but it's pretty much all I can do. The other related board settings are already pretty lenient with regards to keeping sessions valid.

I never get randomly logged out. I guess that is the reason for the inflated post count. Ronny - can you organise random log outs for me - then I would post less and your database would not grow so quickly.
