Nope - I simply ejected the DVD and opened Opera - didn't point it there at all.

Yeah saw that last night, when it asked me to update. I wish they'd just hurry up and release the stable already.RuadRauFlessa wrote:Hey hey....

Been using Opera 10 beta for a long time now. Since beta 1 was out I think and it is awesome.
Cannot wait for an official Opera 10 release. They are making some awesome changes in it as well.

Re: Opera 10 Beta: Stunning!
SourceOpera today unveiled the Release Candidate of Opera 10 and also announced that the final version will be released on September 1st. The company says that this version has better performance, a Turbo mode for people with slow internet connections, support for a variety of Web standards, and improvements to the Opera Mail feature.
According to the Desktop Team this version should be considered a stable release and only selected fixes will be added if absolutely necessary. Here is what Opera's vice president of desktop products had to say: "Now we are very close to releasing the best browser in Opera's long history. We hope everyone who has helped us test our browser thus far will put the release candidate through its paces."
The most obvious change has to do with the application icon of the browser that was designed by Oleg Melnychuk. The red O has received a major facelift and is now available in bigger sizes, also, the document icon has been updated.
According to Techcrunch, Opera claims the browsers will be 40% faster than Opera 9.6 (due to the Preston rendering engine) which was the last major release.
Opera's current market share is being pegged at 1.97% according to Marketshare. So, will their market share increase post the release of Opera 10.0? How many people are going to use it as their main browser? That is the only question left on everyone's mind.
The new Opera release candidate is available for download now.

Re: Opera 10 Beta: Stunning!
Working fine on my side. I find it stupid that upgrading from Beta 3 to the full version, it is incapable of keeping my Speed Dial and other settings.
Is it REALLY that hard?
nobody post a technical response indicating my stupidity, I am ranting dammit.

Re: Opera 10 Beta: Stunning!
Yeah with most software releases you can't upgrade from Beta to Full but you can upgrade from RC to Full. It kept all my speed dials etc...
Re: Opera 10 Beta: Stunning!
ryanrich, Not sure if I actually was on Beta 3 or RC now that I think about it.
Anyway, thanks for the reply.

Re: Opera 10 Beta: Stunning!
finally found an instance willing to let me download it...
no big changes from the RC, kept all the settings, yada, yada. made a few changes to the mailbox, though....
as an aside, anyone else using the speed dial background feature?

Re: Opera 10 Beta: Stunning!
rustypup, By that I assume you mean the background image and not some or other background service? If so, I am.
I also like the fact that you can have more than 9 speed dials now. I still only use 9, but it is a nice feature.

Not yet have not found anything that I want to sit on the back speed dial. Might just use a plain black background...rustypup wrote: as an aside, anyone else using the speed dial background feature?
