They are slowly but surely fixing the game. However 3 patches in 10 days, 50mb a patch, thats something you could have done before release. However the game runs silky smooth in sli mode now as apose to what it ran before. I am having some problem with visual popping in and out as you move around. I prefer to see everything as it should be and not suddenly having something change as I get closer.

Yeah on patch v1.02 it's running way smoother on the PS3 as well.

@SB. I also have some issues, so hoping these patches will help. 50mb per patch is a bit steep :(

WoW gamer laughs at your puny 50mb patches. He laughs heartily, then cries in the corner...

Looks good IMHO running on hardcore. Finished the game in 10 hours on Post Human difficulty. I enjoyed the gameplay.

Not in game menus but:
Crysis 2 Advanced Graphics Options Version 1.7 Readme (3/28/2011)

Instructions

1. Once you have unziped place anywhere you want.
2. Delete any autoexec.cfg files found in the Crysis 2 root folder. (if you're asking what that is, don't worry about it)
3. Delete any target commands you may have put on the shortcut as they will override the autoexec.cfg that is created
4. Run the Crysis2AdvancedGraphicsOptions.exe
5. Hit apply once all settings are set
6. If no settings are applied, try running the program in administrator mode.

A few notes:

1.You do not have to start this program every time you want to play Crysis 2.
2.This will work with any shortcut you make with Crysis 2. All this program does is create the autoexec.cfg
that Crysis 2 will use on startup.
3. If you enable multi-GPU support, make sure that Post Processing is at Medium (should do this automatically
4. If you want to use extreme textures, turn off MSAA
5. All of the "extreme" settings are potentially higher than the vahnilla game. No promises.
6. There are still some problems with autodetection. We will be fixing this for version 2.0 that will be coming soon.

Some Default Values:
HDR Level and Bloom Level's default value were both 1. 0 will turn them off.
Motion Blur's default value is 1. You can set it one higher with some noticable effects.
The highest vahnilla Crysis 2 went for all default settings was "extreme" which equals 3. This program
will allow you to set them to my "extreme" which sets them all to 4. This could increase graphical quality.

*WARNING*
No motion blur has been causing a problem for some people. Still have no found the root of this problem.

Upgrading the suit is awesome, I can stay in cloak for a long time. Also FTW is the fact that you can fire while cloaked with lighter weapons. The more powerfull weapons use all your energy thus you lose cloak as soon as you fire. The one light assault rifle I use lets me fire 3 shots (single fire mode) and stay cloaked.

Edit: That means 3 stealth kills before I need to find cover.

Ok, I still think the unreal 3 engine can produce better looking graphics. The crux of the matter however is that the game took 10 days after release and 3 patches to be on the level it should have been when it came out of the box.

But I am starting to find Crysis 2 good. Restrictive and tuned down from the first but still good.

Same here, it is very fun(a bit restrictive though) and I just love making the red barrels into bombs which make beautiful explosions :D

And the cloak mode is much better, I can actually kill people and still remain in cloak without the need for cheat codes :D :D

Most FPS games takes me roughly 5-6 hours. This took me 11 on the highest difficulty so it's not very short.

Actually the first 10 minutes was boring. I accidently shot the guy that wants to talk to you as you come down the stairs. But back then my pc stuggled with doom 3 and quake 4. Now my pc doesnt flinch on the most strenuous of games.

But after finishing doom 3 I still replayed the game and finished it another 2 times. Half-life 2 I finished a grand total of 2 times. The first being back in 2004 and the 2nd time was this year or end last year when I played the game again without the issues of steam randomly dying for no good reason.

Unreal 2 I might have finished a good few times. Loved that game even though it wasnt the best fps around :P

Yeah Crysis 2 feels like a good length. I only play around 1 hour of PS3 every day or so, so take me roughly two weeks to finish an average game, which is just the right amount of time to be able to sell it again for a fair amount. :)

The Resistance games took ages compared to other FPS', can't wait for Resistance 3!
