xcopy's "/k" switch tells xcopy to replicate with attributes...

does ATTRIB not work?...

What attributes are you trying to change or add?

you're doing this from within windows?...

what's the error?

do you have sufficient rights? if not, you'll have to change ownership before attempting to change attribs...

Are you doing the whole folder at once - or the files individually? eg attrib *.* -h ? You need to specify the files / folder before you do the attributes.
