Language in posts

Post by Ron2K »

Hi all,

There's been some dissatisfaction amongst the team lately with regards to language being used in posts. Please keep in mind that PCF is a family-oriented forum, and as such bad language won't be accepted here. We are in the process of updating the word censor with some of what's been posted by some users. If you try to bypass the word censor by substituting letters for numbers or whatever you choose to do, expect to receive a warning - it's simply not needed.

Thanks.

Yeh, English in please!! It is an english forum! :P
Perhaps allowing a bit of Japanes is acceptable. When it comes to other languages, its just too much.
We do not have the time to try and translate it, if we dont we may end up looking like idiots :D

lol, sorry. Err, what if its a foreign word or something like k4k (I cant remember if it was this forum) but my site url has k4k is in (4 representing an A) and my site URL got blocked out. I use my site to host images as well...

"kamik4kushi" is part of my url for my site, soo... Would something like that be acceptable? As it is Japanese and could be translated to "spirited away" and obviously thoes 3 words aren't intentional.

EDIT: If some of the things in this post are offensive/inappropriate, please edit it...

So if I use the words, crap, poop, flipping, freaking, retard and samoosa I'll be fine?

Edit, so, apparently carp is a swear word, I'll scratch that off my list then.

I hope that clears it up. :D

Well Ron, would you then post a list of the words we are not allowed to use. I do not swear often but I suppose there are a few acronyms that I use. Can I use wth instead of the usual?
