Try using different codec packs. I had that problem, got the latest version of storm codecs, and it cleared up

Where do you download your storm codec? I tried downloading the codec but when trying to install it, everything is in chinese... don't really trust that...

Anybody know when we are going to be able to preorder our retail copies?? None of the e-tailers are listing so. Some are listing vista with upgrade vouchers but I only want win 7 home premium full retail.

Someone asked this on the Prophecy forums the other day and they said that there was no word from their suppliers yet, so I doubt anyone's going to have a solid answer for you.

I heard from Matrix that they're expecting it to arrive somewhere near the 22nd October.

22 October is the launch date. Last time prophecy offered pre order options for vista but so far no local e-tailer is offering anything. The US and UK sites have been offering preorder options for months. Hopefully we start seeing some options soon.

On Netcampus they're offering free Retail versions of Ultimate with the purchase of a Windows 7 course. Busy looking into it...

Also, you should be able to pre-order from the MS store, even if only the download version.

Just got an email from incredible corruption promoting their special this month. Their stores will be opening 7 am on 22 October. If you buy a win 7 product between 7 am and 8 am you stand a chance to win some acer laptop.

Not that anyone would buy from them, with vista they were R1500 more expensive than Prophecy for home premium.

No, I read the whole thing. I think you're masking your true desire to support IC by quickly denying that you would ever buy anything there.

Prophecy shop has put up the dsp editions. Still waiting for retail but pricing is good. R1142 for home premium is a good deal. I want retail though.

I see that they have the retail pricing up for 32-bit and 64-bit. With Vista (Ultimate, at least) you bought retail and you got both 32-bit and 64-bit. Is this not going to be happening for Windows 7?

Last I heard it still came with 32 and 64 bit. Will try and confirm.

i suspect that's for DSP... retail is apparently still optional on both, whilst at the same time including ultra-snazzy stuff like RDP, multi-monitor support and encrypted folders

Yes, confirmed that retail does indeed come with both 32 bit and 64 bit media.
