FYI to all it has not been released yet. You are probably looking at an American time zone launch. So whoever is good at math please work out when America wakes up? :P

For those with the x64 version be carefull unless you want your mp3's corrupted.
Instructions and Resources
MP3 files
When MP3 files are added (either manually or automatically) to either the Windows Media Player or the Windows Media Center library, or if the file metadata is edited with Windows Explorer, several seconds of audio data may be permanently removed from the start of the file. This issue occurs when files contain thumbnails or other metadata of significant size before importing or editing them. To avoid this, take the following steps:

To protect your MP3 files
1. Before you install this Beta release, back up all MP3 files that might be accessed by the computer, including those on removable media or network shares.
2. Install the Beta release of Windows 7; then install this update (KB961367).

If you do not want to install the update, you can avoid this issue by setting all MP3 files that might be accessed by the computer to read-only before starting either Windows Media Player or Windows Media Center or before editing MP3 metadata with Windows Explorer. To do this, in Windows Explorer, find the files, right-click them, click the General tab, and then select the Read-only check box. Once you have installed the update, you can safely reset the read/write status of your MP3 files to your preference./quote]

Not when America wakes up ...

I'm not abandoning Linux at all :P I'm just keeping an open mind. Vista was disgusting; hopefully MS have learned from their stupid, stupid mistakes, and will release an OS that actually works, and i may just like it :)

And yes, I'm also next in line to ask for a copy.

Either version would be fine for me (64/32-bit), but 64-bit is preferable.

I'm in PMB.

I also want a copy pls. :D
Ladies & gents, start your (2.5 million) downloads. The official Windows 7 Beta is ready for download at Microsoft's TechNet site.

It looks like downloading the 32- or 64-bit versions requires a Windows Live ID account, but you can sign up during the click-through process, of course. As you might expect, the servers are a bit bombed, and it looks like the official page we were all watching hasn't updated with a link yet.

Having trouble getting through to download? Check out tips on getting the download, and post any work-arounds/mirrors you find in the comments.
go get it NOW!!

The 64 bit is 3.15GB and if you want it you can come and bring a portable HDD to my place or something like that :D

Let me perhaps just make sure it installs fine and all, busy installing it on a VM while im typing this ;)

"Thanks for your interest in the Windows 7 Beta. The volume has been phenomenal -- we’re in the process of adding more servers to handle the demand. We’re sorry for the delay and we’ll re-post the Beta as soon as we can ensure a quality download experience."
