Re: cm 690 mod (GT)
hey again............
will be doing an update as i have got some work done yesterday and im still busy with a lil bit of stuff.
im going to spray the silver trim blue (i snapped one and have to fix it) but if it doesnt look good will get some mirror chrome and respray it.
btw does anyone know where i can get a black usb port (i snapped mine, probably during a lan.) its the little plastic thing inside that holds the pins. im just going to desolder it and put the new one in but i can only find white ones............

Re: cm 690 mod (GT)
UPDATE
okay well ive been fairly sick today so didn't achieve too much.
starting off with the front panel before being sprayed
and here are the plexi peices i put in to help hold the mesh in place
the old switch placement has been filled up and sanded down
now for the reverse side of it all
all the parts linned up (plastic has been sprayed
notice the difrence between the paint and standard abs plastic
here is what i have done to the cd rom
now to piece it all together
here are a few of the areas on the inside that had some ribs that were in the way
top panel
and the front panel
heres what i have thought of for the other two switches (probably got the insperation from the hawx formations btw i finished hawx today )
the repair job
i think it doesnt look to bad without the trim on
and then my paint dried
and the final pics of the covers
hope you guys enjoy! comments welcome like always

Re: cm 690 mod (GT)
Wes, I don't think the staggered switches look too good. Otherwise its great!

I don't think the staggered switches look too bad. A matter of personal taste, probably.
