Ubuntu Dust Theme

Post by spearone »

Dust is a concept for a new, refreshing look for Ubuntu. I wish this was included by default for Ubuntu. However doing the following you can easily add it.

Download the theme file

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/Incomin ... 922.tar.gz

You will need to have Murrine-SVN
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Artwork/Incomi ... /DustTheme

Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy: i386 / amd64

Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid: i386 / amd64

How to install: Install the required Murrine package for your OS above. Download the file above, the drag the tarball to the appearance dialog (System -> Preferences -> Appearance). After this is done, select "Dust" from the themes list. If this doesn't work, untar the package to your ~/.themes folder

Source is in house and Ubuntuwiki

PS there is also a fantastic Firefox theme available as well.

Dust is a nice theme - thanks for sharing....

I still prefer the shading in the panels and windows in the Darker Theme. Its the theme I have been using for > a year now.....
