My Crit: That Spy Glasses mod needed some serious Editing. You can buy those security cameras for about 300 bucks at electronics shops and security stores. So why Ebay?
Besides, there are wireless versions. So why carry the camcorder with you? Broadcast to a Remote location?!

I'm actually looking forward to reading your review with the AMD rep. I want to see if he says Larrabee is a GPU from 2006 like his bosses do.

Re: PCFormat October Comments and Crits
I bought the mag two weeks ago, and i must say it was a real step up from the last PCF I bought. The coverdisk's content was also much improved. The mods and patches were godsend! And the utilities were good as well!
When reading the mag however I picked up a few errors. Grammar. Maybe its me who's stupid lol, but in the interview with the tomb raider model there was a few. But it was in her replies, so maybe thats the way she talks. And somewhere in the first few pages I noticed a mistake, although I would have to read it again to pinpoint where..
But great mag overall!!

Re: PCFormat October Comments and Crits
I got my copy a bit late this time, and haven't had any change to read it yet. But I must say this one is by far better than the previous issues.
However I quickly glanced through it:
1) The first thing I noticed was that the rig of the month is missing! Eish guys, if nobody submitted a good one, why don't you put one of your own rigs in? Or at least the test rig on page 28... Just because you didn't feature a rig I'll submit mine
2) The Tech Porn section. Wasn't the asus maximus II in one of the previous issues? I think it might have been the first issue with the tech porn section in.
3) The new paper feels really good, not all plastically...
4) It is kind of funny, on page 23 the MSI P45 Platinum is advertised but on page 35 the review about the P45D3 was kind of putting the board to shame...
5) I would really like to see someone actually wear those spy sunglasses. It's all cool and everything, but that won't fit...
6) On page 50, look at the second GFX card. The title says "XFX 8500GT 1GB", but right under it the manufacturer says "Palit". Does Palit make the XFX cards?
7) Again at the article above, how can you rate that card 45% if its Core clockspeed is 6459mhz? That is super fast
Once again the PC history article, this time about sound cards, looks real interesting. I'll read it when I get a chance.
9) 16 more pages FTW!
Nice mag guys.

Drakonis, posted lol WOOT
I enjoyed this issue but I tend to enjoy them all ... the Lara Pic bummed me out tho ... I now have to re-think my halloween costume ... highly unfair ... other than that a good mag as usual with interesting goodies on the CD.
As for when it comes out ... so long as it remains on a similar date monthly I really do not mind when it hits the shelves ... you do however have to take into account when those (or shall I say THAT) other mags come out ... don't really want yours to come out later than the competition's

Howdy folks
We'll (and by we I mean Nab) have an answer for you on some of the stuff you've raised shortly. We've hit a solid brick wall of deadlines for year-end, with December, January AND Feb looming at us looking terrifying.
Once we catch a moment to breathe, we'll post specific replies. For now, we've seen the mentions above and have taken note. You'll see, come Nov/Dec issue, a little more of what we're up to.
