How much bandwidth does Facebook use?

um i agree with u. its all that apps and pics.. imo. mayb try a network monitor??

It's simple. Pics/Videos/Apps = bandwidth.
That guy that used to mod cases. Now I take photos. True story.

We tested here at work and monitored a user that is a avid facebook fan and found that with 4hours of straight facebook browsing the user used +-1.2gig...

So we blocked it...
Luckily we uncapped or else the user would not be working here anymore. :)

If you take he owned app, opening it with all those pic the page is almost 3 meg so all depends on where you go and how populated the page is..

Its seems right to me too, facebook is a bandwidth hog. Good thing its pretty proxy friendly.

I agree it a Hog!

All FaceBook activity at work, even most of the proxies giving access to it, are blocked by our hardware Firewalls.

Facebook is defnitely not "work-related"
