um do you know what the thickest plexi i can get isPrime wrote:dude, plexi does not like heat! and if you use plexi or poly carb and get it to hot, it will either catch fire or ruin. an oven might be better to melt it in. a clay kiln is way too hot!
cuz then i will wright some g code and get them cut at my uncles

i'm not the expert. you'll have to ask Samaya or Dae or one of the others.
there may even be a few threads on it. if you have the energy and can master the search function, have a look. i'd do it but i'm heading to bed.
Otherwise your project looks like its got potential.

Have a mould made that you can bend the plexi around. You don't need very high heat. What you do need is that the plexi heats up evenly up to a certain point. After that it starts boiling and goes to ruin. So your idea of cutting up pieces of plexi, melting it up and then pouring it into a mould will not really work to well as the plexi will discolour, have bubbles in it and will generally just look like crap (literally ). Go look at my Paris Hilton mod's last page. There I did a part which I moulded out of plexi. I basically heated a piece of plexi in our Oven, took it out, placed it on the mould and stood on it to get it into shape. It came out very well. So if you need more help PM me.

i will be molding them that way but for other things on the case
