One question, is it possible to make bolded text appear bolder than what it currently is? As the style is now it's hard to see if text has been put in bold or not.

Re: Welcome to the new forum!
could I just ask why and who it was decided to move to this new forum?
was there something specifically wrong with the old one?

It was a decision made by PC Format itself iirc.GreyWolf wrote:could I just ask why and who it was decided to move to this new forum?
Yes. It was slow, prone to MySQL crashes, and buggy; something to do with posts and the word union?GreyWolf wrote:was there something specifically wrong with the old one?

Lol, wonderful summary there, Xiphan! Wouldn't have been quite the same without noting the problem with the word "union."Xiphan wrote:Yes. Re: Welcome to the new forum!
I just think a new smiley set would be nice. I really love the smileys on Systemshock. Here are some:
The whole set is really nice.
I don't think smileys are important in terms of forum upgrades, but it would be nice

Re: Welcome to the new forum!
@Ron2K: i've thought up a few new BB tags we could do with..
[TLOSTSC][/TLOSTSC] - anything posted between these tags gets spell/grammar checked ... this way we can permit all those intent on butchering the language to do so without exposing anyone to the effects...
[TLOSTSC-HK][/TLOSTSC-HK] - uses the number of spelling/grammatical errors in the offending post to construct an insulting haiku aimed at the offender...
[MIP][/MIP] - turns anything remotely spammy into an insightful post...
i trust you'll agree that these are most necessary for improving the overall forum experience and will be implementing the necessary changes posthaste
i'll be sure to drop you a reminder or two over the next few months...

I read this line about four times and kept reading "toothpaste." I was trying hard to see the connection. Then, suddenly, the clouds cleared and I could read again.rustypup wrote:implementing the necessary changes posthaste

Re: Welcome to the new forum!
Okay, i have another gripe. As far as i can tell, 800px wide images can no longer be displayed
I've only tested this once though. Let me try again.
EDIT: *image removed*
Hmmm. My mistake
BTW, any chance we can have the sidebar back?

Re: Welcome to the new forum!
We are considering starting a poll for this. If there is enough interest (and we're not sure there is) Ron has promised that he will get cracking on the code pronto to make sure it works. Hang in there!DAE_JA_VOO wrote:BTW, any chance we can have the sidebar back?
