IPCop is pretty simple to use - no Linux experience is neccessary.
All you need is a Connexant based PCI modem or a router which supports Bridged Mode.....The install and setup is self-explanatory.
Although I use IPCop at home....I recently setup a network for a small company and used Smoothwall 3.0 instead. I have to admit, its seemed a lot better than IPCop. Maybe you should give that a shot. Also, there is a a larger Smoothwall community out there.....

PPPMultilink is needed on both sides to work. And I'm pretty sure that the only place in SA you will find multilink being used is on ISDN and some enterprise internet connections. If they did it on Adsl I would have been really happy. 5x4mb internet line here I come.
Loadballancing also only works if you have alot traffic to diffrent destinations. On a home connection you won't even feel it.
Best is to built a Linux box with Squid and Bind on it, those 2 on combination will make youre internet feel insanely fast. I have written and posted a tutorial on Squid a while ago. If you want me to write one on Bind I can do that too.
