Then get rid of/disable bitdefender for the period that you use NOD32. You can set it back to normal and uninstall NOD32 afterwards.

The trial for NOD32 lasts you either 30 or 60 days, not sure.

I doubt updating AVG will help. AVG will be attacked as soon as the new defs are installed. In my experience AVG coughs and splutters once a good infection has got the better of a machine. It is fine for catching the odd bit of evil but once a pc gets really bad AVG struggles to even keep itself running let alone remove the malware.

edit - damn this thread is updating fast - ignore my no free nod32 comment and listen to Rusty on the previous page ;)

look for a proggie called "smitfraud.exe"

Download, and reboot the PC into safe mode, run the proggie and choose option 2 (clean in safe mode) when it asks to clean registry, say yes and then when done quit and restart the PC

Should solve your problem!

sorry for the late reply was out all day yesterday

Nothing i tried worked i couldnt even install avg in normal or safe mode

turns out i had to format and reinstall took the risk of backing up the stuff that was needed and that turned out okey

I used disk kill suite to trash the info on the hard drive then formatted it so as to make sure it didnt move over to the clean sectors

Sorry to hear you didn't manage to get rid of the nasty.
