Remote desktop double typing

Post by SBSP »

Hey.

Ive got this weird issue and very irritating with remote desktop.

If i open RDP to our servers (all servers is Server 2003 and one server 2000)
Everything is fine, I normally keep the connection open it automatically locks after 15mins of inactivity.

So when i want to log in again after lets say +- an hour or 2, it types double characters. in all text boxes. the 1 server 2000 machine dont lock after 15 mins
and where ever you type it also types double characters.

so if i want to type administrator it types aaddmmiinniissttrraattoor.
It doesnt only happen on my PC it happens on other PC's aswell.

So i cant determine what is causing this as all servers does this and more than one PC does this, also it doesnt happen on RDP from my machine to a normal windows XP machine.

Has anyone had this ? google is no help here. I dont even know how to search for this problem

If i open the command prompt and press E.G CTRL + P it returns ^P^P
