Modding/Cutting a mouse pad

Post by Dust »

Ok, so I bought a Razer Mantis Speed mouse pad last week. I do like how well my mouse glides on its surface.

First I thought I wanted such a big nice smooth mousing surface, now I have finally decided that I'll admit that it's just TOO big.

So, does anyone here think that a person can cut a mouse pad properly? I mean through the rubber and fabric, while maintaining the original look? I don't wanna mess it up.

I was thinking that while I'm cutting at it, why not give it a nice shape too.

Any ideas?

Holey moley, you even typed my nick out properly!

And yes, that's exactly what i would do (modding genius my rear end :P )

If i wanted something fancy, i'd get it laser cut though, but i doubt i would go to so much effort for a mouse pad. I haven't used a mouse pad in what must be 4 or 5 years now.

But yeah, scissors would do the trick.

So you use a desk DAE?

Lol, well right now I can't really use scissors, got stitches on my right hand and I'm sure as hell not gonna bugger it up with my left.

I thank you all for your valued input.

Lol.

Yeah, i use a desk. I've got a laser mouse so there's really no need for a mouse pad. And besides, my desk is a perfect surface :)

Ya unfortunately I don't have a laser mouse. Lol.

I've tried gaming on a desk surface, doesn't feel right.

Samaya, I said that sarcastically cause Dae pointed out that he HAS a laser mouse so he can use a desk, while back at the ranch I myself have one, which means he did read my sig. Sorry to dig this up though.
