Why would 2gig work and not 4gig

Hi guys

Just want to find out why a rpoduct would work with 2gig ram but as soon as you put 4gig in it doesnt......
This is on vista. I have been busy reloading and downloading new software but at the end removing ram was the thing that worked y would that be...

was a netgear product and itle celeron dont ahve the specs now with me for the motherboard.

I did go on netgear site and all the said was to do an upgrade so i was on another site and thats where i found to remove the ram and it worked....
But all i wold like to know is why does it do it, on vista business 32bit.....

Studies at Cambridge univarsity shows that if you have the first and last letter of a word at the right place you can jumble the rest of the letter in the word and it will still be readable.

Its 32bit restrictions. It's not an error-just a limit.
There is a patch I think but I doubt you will need more then 2gigs for that PC and what you want to do with it. 3gigs will also work.
Soon Google will know everything...including how to divide by zero :(

32Bit does not support more than 3GB RAM

Yea , what he was trying to ask though is why a wireless adapter would error ( code 10 ) when 4 gb is installed and not when 2gb is.

A 32bit OS can address 4GB, however that 4GB is shared between all the components in the PC as well as your RAM (which is why you see the 3.25GB figure often quoted as the limit). My theory is that your physical RAM somehow used up the address space where your network adapter would normally be accessed.
