Simba Chips Shortage

Went to my local Pick N Pay today and there wasn't a single large packet. Then went to Checkers Hyper and not a single large packet there either. I didn't think it would get this bad.

Noticed what? I said that today is the first day that the shelves are completely empty at my local stores not today is the first day I noticed something is wrong. The notices have been up since last year.

You've had notices? At your local store? Our shelves were empty in December last year already, but I had no clue why. It took me a couple of weeks to figure out what the cause was.

Yeah, we have plenty here too. As I said, there was a shortage in December/January, but that seems to have been sorted out.

Yeah, we had notices. We also had Coca Cola notices for that shortage too. Looks like we'll have to settle for Dorito's. :(

We had the Coca Cola notices, but nothing about Simba. We had to settle for Willards chips. Bleh!

To be honest i haven't noticed Simba out of stock, and i always buy a few bags to take/have for braais on weekends... haven't seen an empty shelf?

I've heard about the whole shortage thing happening... but I've never really come across anything like empty shelves and such...

I stay close to a Shoprite, and they always got tons and tons of chips and Coke...

pity they don't have Vanilla Coke...

but I know I can have crazy amounts whenever I go to Bloem, somehow they don't have a Vanilla Coke shortage (maybe coz there's a Coca-Cola plant there)... :P
