Better cooling with cable management

Post by IcePick88 »

Good day ya'll

I don't know if this was posted on this forum yet, but here goes.

As gamers we know that to get better performace and stability out of our rigs, we need to keep them cool. That is why we spend so much on CPU coolers and fans, to keep the beast running at decent temps when cracking the latest and greatest games.

So to get to these desired temps, we need to have good air flow in our chassis. For air to flow better, it needs nothing to obstruct it's way inside the pc. That is where cable management comes in. The neater your cables, the better the airflow will be and your case will also look much much better. Especially if you have the perspex side window on your chassis.

So what I want to achieve here is that we all show off our cable management skills and to also appreciate the neatness of good cable management. So Here is a case I saw on the net. Damn this looks sexy!

I like how that guy mounted his HDD facing backwards so that he could run the SATA cable to it out of sight.

I'm learning a bit here!

My current system deserves an epic fail as far as its cable management goes. Just ask DAE.

I'm thinking of maybe replacing the PSU with a modular one to reduce wiring, but my finances are in a real squeeze right now, so I won't be able to consider this for at least six months.

Like I said, my cables are in a shame as well. In much need of attention!hahaha! I think the best approach would be to totally dissasemble your rig, and start from scratch. That way cables cn be routed where they need to go, cuz with a current system, you can only do damage control.

That will be my next project! Getting some rounded IDE cables for my old drives, and then also to properly do the cables with my sleeving kit that I bought. I never knew you can take the molex connecters off! That's whay I abandoned the sleeving kit, cuz getting the big molex through the small sleeving was impossible!hahaha!
