I'm getting mixed reports WRT MX-2. Some say it's fantastic, some say it's decent. I think it depends on configurations. Old vs New Tech, Single vs Multi Core ect.
I think if you buy anything in the lines of:
Arctic Silver
Arctic Ceramique
Arctic MX-2
That OCZ Paste
Zalman STG-1
Collaboratory (Any)
Shin Etsu (Any)
you are fine.
(feel free to add to the list if I missed something)

I agree 100%. The 1 or two degrees difference you'll get between those is irrelevant to pretty much anyone except overclockers anyway.WiK1d wrote:I think if you buy anything in the lines of:

The only reason i actually bought the MX-2 was because i lost all of my frikken AS5 and i need some thermal compound.
That guy that used to mod cases. Now I take photos. True story.
From where?DAE_JA_VOO wrote:I got myself a tube of Arctic Cooling's "flagship" compound, MX-2 yesterday. I have yet to test it. Should be good though

brilliant, thanks wik... reason i asked is i got my swiftech ultra yesterday and it comes with ceramique... so at least now i wont have to worry about searchng for more AS5WiK1d wrote:Ceramique is quite good. I am actually running it now. Partially as it's much cheaper than AS5 and performs quite the same. But AC is FANTASTIC for sub zero applications.
