Re-installing Ubuntu

Post by Liet_Kynes »

I need to reinstall Ubuntu and I was wondering if there's anyway to save all the updates and programs I've already downloaded.

Any help would be highly appreciated as I cannot afford to download all these updates again.

I was using and old 6gig 8O HD to test out ubuntu :). I'm liking it alot and now want to install on a new HD. I'd like to keep all the software, drivers etc. that I downloaded on the current install.

OT: Beryl kicks bottom :)

Oh, i see.

Okay, well, download APTonCD. Use that to create a disc that has every update/app you've downloaded and installed (through synaptic) ;)
