Push it to the max but make sure that you keep it cool!

Seriously though...do you have a spare fan lying around which you could temporarily mount so it blows over the heatsink?
Just to see how much the temp comes down by. Heatsinks on their own only realy work well if there is plenty of airflow going across them. (or if you haven't tried o/c'ing the living daylights out of whatever it is trying to cool :twisted: )

I'll see if I can maybe mount a system fan or something to keep the heatsink cool ...

I'm also going to give lapping the heatsink a try

Maybe I should just get me one of these ... should fix my cooling problem ... and would fit in nicely with my CNPS9700LED CPU Cooler

Good idea :D , and considering the quality of Zalman equipment, lapping would not be required unless you are neurotic...

I know Frontosa stock the Zalman's (but you have to be a registered dealer to buy from them)
