Well, here's my plan so long...

I want to mod one of the dead (but now working :P ) consoles FIRST. This mod will probably NOT include water. Once i'm done with that mod, i'll mod my own personal 360, with water :D

and are you gonna mod one of them with the HD-DVD drive?? Get one of your sponsors to send you one and then add their decal to the xbox enclosure. :-D Any chance of organizing me a dead console from prophecy or somewhere?

you started with the dead console right?

and then you say "Here is my console running CoD4"...

so you actually did what you did to the dead 1 to your WORKING 360 as well, and that is the pic you showed?

no, he FIXED the dead console. Both of them as far as I can gather. So now he has 3 (THREE) working XBOX 360 consoles. 8O :D unfair actually.

Unfortunately the HD-DVD drive can't play the games :(

No, i took one of the dead 360s i got yesterday and fixed that one. That's what was playing COD4 ;)

But you said you wanted to use one as a media centre... Can't you mod a HD-DVD drive into THAT one? And I'm sure a firmware update will work on the HD-DVD drive to get it to play games.

Hmmm.... now there's an idea...

Still... there's no local supplier. That means i'll have to import the drive myself, and i don't wanna spend my moneys on a HD-DVD drive when HD-DVDs aren't even here yet...

Sucks that we don't have a local supplier OR even HD-DVD's here in SA...

So ya, it's a gamble. But I think it will be cool.

Maybe I should kill my console, swop it out, and ask for it back and use it for some XBOX changing. :P :P

how much did it cost you to buy the consoles and fix them?

I paid R100 each for the consoles, and then about R25 on the screws i needed. So lets say about R130 for a console :)

By the way, i fixed the second one today. Seems to be running perfectly :D
