Flash Button link to anchor point in Dreamweaver

Post by novio »

I'm not sure if this has been touched on previously, but im having a problem linking a flash button to an anchor point in dreamweaver. this...

get URL("page_name.html#anchor_name", "_self");

...seems to reload the page from the top so clearly does not work.

Can anybody suggest something that works?

thanks

remove the page_name.html

Should be getURL("#anchor");

hehehe, was also just messing... :lol:

though while we on the flash subject, and maxxis hopefully still checking in, what would be the outcome if a preloader was put on the _root and on a movie_clip inside the _root e.g. intro_mc ?

Preloader inside a movie clip?

Will still work if you target the bytesLoaded and bytesTotal of the container swf.

If you want to preload external movies you might need to lockRoot or create a preloader that will check the loaded targets side and preloads accordingly

I do that with images and external swfs on ACM.

this doesnt work.
will try using the entire url....but the only way to test this is to upload the entire thing which sucks. will get back to you on success or failure, but if someone knows an easier way, please feel free.
