thanx man... its really nice.. no need for motherboard drivers and all that.. it even downloaded the nvidia drivers for me! :D

He's probably downloading an Update to compiz. Since i installed 7.10 i think there was an update.

X, i suggest you download the Compiz Config Settings Manager ;)

You can also go into the GIMP, it has a screenshot feature and imports it directly into the program for saving, which is useful.

You need the MP3 codecs - open Synaptic and search for gstreamer0.10-plugins-ugly-multiverse.

Is it possible to configure gnome to open folders in the same window? This windows 95 behavior sometimes gets on my nerves

Open the file manager and have a look in Edit->Preferences... I'm using KDE at the moment so I can't tell you exactly where the option is, but it's in there somewhere ;).

Okay I need a little help with that I googled it and then downloaded a file compiz-fusion-gnome.ymp what do I do now?

Install it all from Synaptic rather dude, gonna save yourself a lot of effort!

Or, open a terminal and type this:

sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager
