photoshop brush icon/crosshair

Post by capanno »

Photoshop seems to randomly change the icon used for the brush on the canvas between a circle and a crosshair. Maybe im unknowingly pressing a button on the keyboard. How do I change it to a circle? Its really difficult to work finely if you cant see the outline of the brush.

I always think it is your settings in the "Cursor" section of your preferences...

nope... if I understand you correctly...

you mean if you take a certain pic with text in it, you simply click on part of it and it selects the whole text only?

Are you trying to get photoshop to tell you what font is being used on a flat jpg or so?

nope, sorry...

only when it is still a PSD file can you find out what font it is...

(well at least from what I know... don't think any meta information is saved to the JPG that can tell you this)

lol. You are asking from photoshop something that is in the league of face recognition technology.

po10cy, if its a psd and the font is not installed on the pc, then it shouldn't load in the first place. It will replace it with a default font won't it? Haven't done this in a while.

nah if it still a PSD, it will leave the text at the font it is until you want to edit that particular text... substitution will happen when you want to edit that text and you do not have the font installed...
