Quick mouse Mod

Hi Guys

This is what a boring Friday @work drives one to do.

Basically:
2 LED's
Soldering Iron
1 Standard Microsoft Mouse

Sorry that i didn't take pics while doing it, but rather basic. remove LED's, replace with new LED's.

Sorry about the poor pic quality, 400D is @home today.

El' Mouseo.

Boom. Made it green to suite the mod that i'm planning. Those design's i'll put up later from home.

Anyone have any idea's on what to do with the red plex at the back. going to be such a mission to shape plex into the shape to replace.

lol - if i do i promise that pics will be taken just to show the pain.
Going to see what i can think up, but something needs to be done. From behind the color is some kind of cola tonic/coke with water look. Doesn't float my boat.

sorry to spam, but who says communication hasn't advanced?? LOL...

btw - nice mice mod - what about using 1mm clear plexi and shaping it with heat to fit in place of the red plexi currently there...?

Take the old red part out and use it as a mold to heat-shape the plexi.

I always thought the red LED at the bottom was red for a reason.

Performance is still the same?

If it is, ... why do all the mice have red LEDs? You would think that they would come in different colors.

If you do this, do it VERY carefully. If you give your plexi too much heat your origional mould would melt and then you have one big mess to sort out.
