R400 Cooler socket 775

Post by psYChowIt »

I need a new cooler for my e6750 (the OC bug has bitten me  )
Anything worth it in the R400 price range or do I have to up my budget to R500 and cut somewhere else?

Also should I spend +- R300 on a cooler and then R100 on thermal grease or Buy a R400 cooler and use the thermal grease it comes with?

rob is going a bit overboard, you don't NEED that liquid silver substance.
and that cooler is very nice but very expensive. I wouldn't look at that Zalman CNPS7000, its a bit of a low end cooler. rather look at the 9500 or 9700.

nee D, as jy nie watercooling nodig het nie, is dit REGTIG nie nodig nie. Dis natuurlik 'n baie nice ding om te he, maar hel, ek het nog nooit watercooling nodig gehad nie en ons het baie amper dieselfde setup.

BTW: Ek kry daai case volgende week. :-P

yeah I know its ONE OF THE BEST (Still rate my Enzotech is better) but both are very very expensive in terms of air coolers.

QFT! You must know, i know my cooling.

yea psYChowIt, you can get a zalman 9500 or 9700, but in my mind its only a mid-range cooler, and if you really get into your overcloking your gonna want to upgrade again, and waste money in the process... i got a zalman CNPS7700 and after like 2months i was left wanting... now i have the swiftech apex ultra 120 watercooling kit and ITS DEFFINATLY THE BEST!!! but if your going to go for air, go for the best and get the thremalright ultra 120 extreme, you dont NEED liquid metal either, arctic silver 5 will work fine aswell...

Get the 9700 if you want, but i bet you wou ill be left wanting.... (with that nice E6750 of yours...
