fsb/memory ratio

Push it to the max but make sure that you keep it cool!

Well if your ram is rated + 2.35 you can run it at that, but not much over for long periods. It slowly closes gates. Do some reading up on XS if you are interested.

You know that lifetime warranty often means the lifetime of the product cycle, not your lifetime, right? When they stop making the product (EOL = End Of Life), your warranty goes bye-bye. Applies to most manufacturers but not all AFAIK.

Yep totally valid point. IIRC it applies to all manufacturers. When they run out of stock its your prob, not theirs.

And with computer hardware, that's real quick. 3yr warranty > lifetime IMO.

Reading through this thread reminds me of why it's a bad idea to buy second hand RAM. :D

Atm my DRAM : FSB ratio is 4 : 3 respectively and my bandwidth reading in everest says my ram is at 14379mb/s and my fsb is at 10784mb/s.

Does this mean my fsb is actually bottlenecking??? Or am i getting it wrong??

Hmm, this has me worried now, i should actually lower my ram voltage, as got it at 2.1, but thats pushing the envelop for it, i think. and with no performance gains as yet to be noticed.

going to limit pure eskom (love that term) going into the sticks, as they dont even have 'sinks on them. ftl.

depressed.

does the same apply for chipset voltage?

1x Sapphire Pure Element mobo
1x 6600GT 256MB PCI-E
1x 1GB DDR2 800Mhz

Well, you should check what temps your chipset is running at. Ive been told that as long as its below about 50 degrees and the system is stable, you should be ok.
