Re: The XBOX 360 Thread
Cant find the stupid thread that says what goes for what. So here are 2 sites that sell codes.
http://www.mspoints.co.za/
http://www.cheapcodes.co.za/5-psn
I know you cant buy psn/xbl subs for other regions from SA. You need prepaid card codes for that. I've bought from both these sites. At first I couldnt figure out what I was doing wrong since mspoints didnt want to accept credit cards but later I saw you create a quickpay account or something. You do an eft transfer and it will allow them to instantly detect you if your referance is correct. Cheapcodes will instantly clear your eft payment if a confirmation is sent from the bank.

Dishwasher: Vampire Smile
For those who likes art style games, action games, gory games I recommend you check out this game on XBLA. The download size is 150mb. My first thought on the game is I dont like the visuals, I dont like the concept but I like the action. Still deciding if I feel like spending the 800 MS points on it.

Re: The XBOX 360 Thread
i saw this under the above mention site's FAQ
"Unlike Xbox LIVE subscriptions (1 month, 3 month and 12 month) which work in all supported Xbox LIVE regions, Microsoft Points are region specific, and fall under either the UK (including South Africa) or US region. You must make sure you select codes that fall under the same region as your Gamertag. "
so does that mean i can buy a point card from like CNA and it will be valid for my fraudulent UK gamer tag lol?

Re: The XBOX 360 Thread
Seems so but we are now a specific XBL region.
Something that ppl doesnt know about, and isnt advertised is that if you buy an xbox 360 product you can buy a 1 year XBL subscription at R300 (50% off normal price). But not even ICC or CNA or BTGames salemen knows about this. Believe it was announced on the xbox forums.

Re: The XBOX 360 Thread
Have you tried [url:=www.zapsonline.com]Zaps Online[/url]? I saw that they have parts for XBox controllers - maybe they have the part for your X button and you can DIY first?RiaX wrote:sigh i broke the X button on my controller and nobody fixes controllers :/ had to buy a new one how fail
I've also seen there (and bought) the wireless controller extension thingy for the PC, so that the XBox controller work with all my pc games. I remember reading someone was looking for one, but for the life of me, I cannot find the thread

HI GUys
Please help, I cannot log onto xbox live. IT says I need to install the latest update to continue to register for xbox live. The problem is the download does not complete, it comes up with an error status code. But when you do a XBL test it completes with no errors. I have the gold membership. Please let me know whats happening.

Re: The XBOX 360 Thread
Had the same problem with the update. What we did was to download it onto the pc, extract to USB and install update from USB. Worked like a charm.Brad2.0 wrote:HI GUys

Re: The XBOX 360 Thread
We all knew it was coming.
No one really knows what to do with kinect. However Bioware with Mass Effect 3 and voice commands is a step forward.
Still I am a ps3 owner. Would like to see more games done on the ps3

Re: The XBOX 360 Thread
So... I've never been much of a console fan.
I started working at the company I'm with now almost 3 years ago.
Every December things would go dead quiet, and I'd jam on the work Xbox. Sega Rally mostly.
Last December we all discovered DOA4.
After that was a bit of Tekken 6 (which didn't last) which was then replaced by Mortal Kombat 9!
Besides that, about 7 guys at work have an Xbox. Most of them jam BFBC2 all the time.
So, since about a weekish ago, all I can say is...
"Hi... I'm Mr Norris... And I have an Xbox"
It came bundled with Homefront, which was OK but far from brilliant. That I clocked in a weekend. I've been jamming Dirt 2 most of the time (borrowed that from a friend at work) and BFBC2 with friends (which is AWESOME).
Haven't experimented with video / music streaming yet. But plan to soon.

Re: The XBOX 360 Thread
Remember that XBL is a paid service. Also I am convinced that SA live will never amount to what UK live offers. Not in content and not in the price you pay.

I agree, but it is awesome jamming with a bunch of friends from work!StarBound wrote:Remember that XBL is a paid service. Also I am convinced that SA live will never amount to what UK live offers. Not in content and not in the price you pay.

Re: The XBOX 360 Thread
Thats not all. The rumours surrounding it further is that it will need an always on connection. Oh yes the irony The PS4 or "orbis" is rumoured to simply need internet activation. From the look of it the WiiU is the only one that will still provide pay and play games. But other rumours around the WiiU is surfacing that it does NOT have the graphics power of the current generation consoles.

Re: The XBOX 360 Thread
Finally got around to acquiring a VGA adaptor for my XBox. Video quality waaay better on my monitor than it was on the TV.
Quite nifty. PC on DVI input and XBox on VGA.
Change from office to play with the push of a button.

Keep it UK. I don't bother with Xbox Lifeless.
