On the Wall?

Post by Jon »

Hey

I would like to know what you have done with your Wide Screen TV. Have you put it on the wall or is it still on the table? If it is on the wall, how did you get it up? Did you pay someone to do it for you or did you do it yourself?

Welcome to the forums Jon please ignore the any spam you get here...

If I could afford a wide screen TV it would be A: On the wall and B: Paid by a professional if I did it myself I would probably break something

no disrespect, but why would anyone be aware of this particular little nugget?

a post count of 2 says: new poster

standing instructions are that we greet and point toward the intro thread... if Spicy were posting from outside of SA, would he be aware of who "Jon" is?

i don't know who Jon is... probably because i don't subscribe to, or purchase, PCF....

<_i know i stand a good chance of having cameron smack me upside the head for this, but it had to be said... >

regardless.. hello Jon...

Now that everyone has smacked everyone else upside the head.

Hi Jon,

My 32" Sony is sitting on the TV cabinet, although it would look nicer mounted on the wall. I would most likely do the job myself. I don't trust other people to get things like this absolutely straight...professional or not

Ownage.

I agree with Viceroy about fitting. DIY is best if you know how to use a drill etc.

I would only consider wall mounting if you use floating shelves for the AV equipment.

Otherwise a good quality plasma stand or wall unit will do the trick.

hahahaha that was pretty much ownage hey!

well id defenitely have it on the wall, gives it that sleek look and i mean its different from on the table like all other tv's.

and defenitely get a pro before you drill your wall full of holes like i would or glue it to the wall hahahha
when in doubt, paddle out... ;)

@Vexo: that would be taking it too far... it's a subtle line, but you have managed to skip across it with an abandon not unknown in mental health institutions.....

bad form, that man... :?

Taking it to far my bottom!
If he was the president of the country then there is no need for
him to introduce himself, but he is in fact an editor of some magazine.
All i am saying is that there is some people on this forum with a job
that is more important than this guy and i don't see them bragging about it.
And seeing that an editor relies on the readers to buy the mag so he can get paid i don't see how that comment helps.

BTW PC formats editor is Stacey Maree

On topic
i assume that have a Plasma TV

I have a black & white tv and it is on the ground.

As for Jon. He deserves the replies he received. Don't pull rank unless you're at least the mod of the forum...

I agree! He said it as if we care or should care. I don't remember Cameron saying something as stupid as that.

Now go and Introduce yourself, cause we don't care who you are!

OK OK

I give up,....

Sorry to all who got offended.

I am Jon, thanks for allowing me to post on the PC Format forums. I am the newish editor of T3 magazine and I would like to let you knoe that I am around.

Thanks to all of you for the kind words of welcome as well as those not so kind. At least you are on the forums taking part.

I will be using the T3 forum here for a while until I get the T3 website up and running and I hope that you will be doing so too.

I will be posting another question shortly and hopefully get some constructive answers.

Thanks again and HELLO
J
