Okay, well in that case I hope you can get green ones. I had a mission getting regular green LEDs, and when I eventually got a local security place to order them for me, they ended up being orange when I connected them and powered them up. I went back to the place I got them from, and they gave me small resistors, which turned them from orange to a pukish, yellowy-green colour--not exactly what I was looking for. I eventually just used the green laser LEDs I got from PPC for the front of my case.
schase - the LED is the little thing just behind the 2 soldering spots... (Above the R2)...
Those LED's should however be readily enough available at electronic stores...

lolz @ tiny little blocks... they SMD or surface mount components...(i think SMD stands for surface mount development or something lol... just call em surface mount. and btw the "little black block" is deff not an LED thats a resisstor for sure) if you want white ones these should work http://www.fort777.co.za/index.php?main ... ts_id=5990

Well, a power surge seems to have taken out one of my motherboards, so atm I am using the ooze PC for office work all day. When I get my fried mobo replaced, then I'll have time to play a little more with the ooze. But I don't think I'm going to do much more than replacing the PSU fan with a green one and looking into getting they G15 done in green. I'm quite happy with the way it looks: I just wanted something different from the so-last-season blue.

So after getting some spare cash for a website I did, I decided to splash out and spend an embarassing amount of money on a DéCK Legend ToXiC keyboard. Initially, I got the 82-key DéCK keyboard from PPC, but I hated it, so I managed to flog it for just about as much as I paid for it. Then I got me the full 105-key keyboard.
(Apologies for the blurry pics.)
The keyboard unilluminated:
The keyboard on lowest illumination setting:
The keyboard on highest illumination setting:
This keyboard has seven brightness settings, and an LED under every key (two under the Space Bar). The keys have that sort of spring effect that laptop keyboards have. My only gripe is that the keys are very loud to type on: they didn't make them soft-touch. Still, it works with the rest of the mod.
Now I just have to wait for the RMA on my Ooze motherboard (no comments from Syndicate, please!) and I'll be up and running again. I decided to put my OCZ PSU in my Q6600 machine instead, so I am no longer putting a green LED fan in it. I have to now put a red fan in there instead. But it's pretty simple, because I opened it up and saw there are plugs at the end of the fan cables, so there is no soldering involved.

I absolutely and totally agree with what you are saying because it is correct.haja wrote:Heya,
If you guys mean that little black thing, that is a resistor. And above the resistor are leads from a conventional component (my guess, an LED) The resistor is prob in series with the LED to bring the voltage down.
BUT SMD = Surface mount device
