Need help from coders.

Hi guys, I need a proggie or python script for Blender to convert GTR2 / rFactor's mesh files which are in *.gmt format to either *.3ds or *.blender so I can edit and build my own meshes for a car I want to make for GTR2.

There are two apps that can do this, but they cost money that I don't have. They are, 3dSimed and Zmodeler.

FYI. GTR2 and rFactor are based on Image Space Incorporated's engine, that info might be useful.

Please guys, I'd really appreciate it. If you want some of the mesh files uploaded just ask here.

Yeah, I've searched, even some torrent sites have one of the programs listed, but there's basically zero seeders.

I just want a converter.
