Project 832: Rebirth [05/09/2007 - Final Pics]
Looky and update and its post 100 on my thread...
Update:
So I finally decided on what Im going to do with those side panels
Here they are, all nice but plain looking side panels.
Now to get to removing that mesh.
Notice that cooler master was so kind to cater for the modding community in a form of these already threaded nuts along with a nice lip for replacing the mesh with some perspex.
Here I got the mesh off
And here is the mesh, Im going to steal the stacker logo's of them.
I then used the mesh as a templete to outline the cut I need to make on the perspex. I will then perfect that that piece and use it as a templete to make one for the other side.
Well tomorrow I will get a cutting and see how far I can get.

Ok well it took the whole weekend and then some to cut the perspex, why cos I wanted it perfect and they are!!
Well not finished yet couple of bumps to sort out and some polishing to do on the edges and something a little special needs to be added to them too but other wise 80% complete
Getting ready to do the cut, and yes thats a brand new scroll saw there.
Here is what it looks like after the cut
Matched up to the side panel, ooo looking good
Protective covering off and its really looking good
Marked and drilled the holes to mount it
Close shot of the mount
and there otherside done as well and them both together, they look so damn good and Im not even done yet!
So I am now the proud owner of the only CM832 in south africa with windows on the panels
PS: Dont worry about the screws, they where what I had laying about just for a test fit, I will be making my way to go and get either silver or black domed allan cap's tomorrow.

Ok well I got round to polishing the plexi last night and then i got thinking on the name for this project and I think I have made my mind up
832: Rebirth
Here is the design I have come up with which be engraved on the panels, not too big but enough to draw attention.
The one I intend to use is undecided so far.
so what you guys think?

Here are some pics, I only transfered the motherboard and the power supply for now.
Old case
empty new shell of a case to be LOL
and there is the board and PSU in

I actually liked the top of the 'mix' ones...
832 in bold, rebirth in outline...
Its something different...
Only letter I do not like in that font is the 2, the 3 actually looks funky...
I say go with your first instinct... Gut feel is usually correct
