Dude it's awesome, I dont have one but I played on my friends machine...
The graphics are sick and the controlers are so sweet.
Pros
Full 1080i output
Cheapest way to get Blu-ray
Very sleek look to unit
Easy to navigate front end
Games are region free
Cons:
Expensive but if you can afford it you are one lucky dude

I played some motor-X game on the PS3 at Incredible Connection. The graphics didn't seem any better than the Xbox to me...

As for the graphics...I agree, they're not any better.
In fact, the next update for the X360 includes a whole bunch of improvements from newer codecs (including the latest for 1080P), better support for Windows Live so PC gamers and X360 gamers can play together (Can anyone say TDU) and integrating MSN chat.
Cant wait. Release is 8th May

No more NTSC and PAL games.Blunt_Spoon wrote:What is region free mean?
If you want a game from japan or america, you can play it on your european console.
I'm not sure if its true about being region free, but if it is, that will be great!
Also, if you plan on getting a ps3, my advice is wait till october.
THere will be brilliant games like GTA4 and MGS4 etc, and 1080p tv's will be more affordable, and the PS3 will be cheaper.
THe only game I would get for ps3 now is Motorstorm, and after figuring out how to use the controls, the game already got boring... Not worth it..
Thank goodness there's a thread like this.
Ok, a friend is importing some consoles so I'm getting it at a super price.
But, the thing is, he isn't sure if it's PAL or NTSC.
So, if the consoles are region free, then PAL and NTSC shouldn't be a problem? Right? But then why the differentiation still?
My only guess is that the initial game releases will be on DVD as developers get their heads around the allegedly complex ps3 dev kit. Thereafter it would be Blu Ray all the way and no more PAL/NTSC.
Whatever the scenario, is there a way to convert your console from NTSC to PAL. Hardware wise or software wise.

The greatest obstacle to discovery is not ignorance - it is the illusion of knowledge.
supposedly you don't as it's built in and you only need change the plugMikdog wrote:You'd probably only need a stepdown/up transformer for the plug to turn 120v (i think that's the american voltage) into a safe 220v for south african plugs.
Then bob's your uncle. Do some research on googlethu. I mean google

Unlike the xbox360 where you have the psu outside the console...
