Java VM browser extention string?

Post by SBSP »

Java Browser Extension

Hi I know this is not a 'Programming' question.

Apparently Java VM doesn't support NTLM authentication via a proxy server
correctly.

Over here we use NTLM authentication and we have internal Java based
learning consoles or applets, so now i want to try allowing browser extensions

So i thought a programmer would know

Eg. fire fox has a identification called mozilla/something and IE also
and Java applications would use something java/1.464 or what ever

Another example with PHP nuke like this actual site has a section where you can see a log of what browsers visited this site Firefox opera ie ect.
it uses the extension i'm looking for it identify the browser.

Thanks

Edit My Spelling RulZ
