Hmm ... okay, so any idea what you would do to the Bloodrayne sig above to improve the blending of Rayne onto the background?

Edit: Meh ... new page ... lemme post the images again ...

Edit2: Oh, and is the background too dark?

to be honest, she actually looks fine like that, but if you want to blend her more then try using a soft brush and just slighty erasing her edges... or try the other methods I mentioned and maybe you will get something you might like...
Intel i5 750 - Asus P7P55D LE - G.Skill Ripjaws 2x 4Gig - Coolermaster HAF932
Club Radeon 5850 - Corsair HX750W - OCZ Vertex 2 120Gig SSD - 2x Seagate 1.5TB
Samsung 2494HS 1920x1080 - Logitech G15 - Logitech G500
BlackBerry Bold 9900 - iPod Touch 8Gig 2G

Oh, cool, thanks. If she looks okay I'll leave it. I'm just playing around to see if I can get any better at this. The main objective of the above one was to create a background from scratch, but then I thought I'd get some advice on blending at the same time.

Stunning mousey - but you are right. The tiger looks like he was pasted. Has a darkish outline. Perhaps if you changed that.

Dude :) There's no other way I can explain this. Your images are flat. Hunt for dynamism ;)

All I'm asking about right now is blending, not opinions on the overall image. I don't intend to use any of these, I'm just trying to learn Photoshop basics.

The dark outline blends better if I take the eyes out.

You reckon it'll look better with a border? I've never particularly liked bordered sigs, but maybe I'll play around a little and see.

Lol, thanks, but Smashing Pumpkins combo is not for me. Playing with some combos for another member. My first attempt for him was a Def Leppard combo, but he said he'd prefer Smashing Pumpkins.
