AGS

Post by chilliboy »

I've recently discovered a great free app that I think you guys might like. It's Adventure Game Studio(AGS), an engine to render adventure games. It's pretty useful for people like me who are still hooked on Sierra and Lucas Arts adventure games (all Quest titles, Monkey Island, Leisure Suit Larry, etc.) It allows you to create your own games pretty simply, employing a point and click interface as well as scripting options. The site also allows free downloads of games other people have created using AGS. Check it out at www.adventuregamestudio.co.uk. I've downloaded quite a few and kill lots of time playing them (when the boss is away!) Just be wary as some games are total ****! I personally wouldn't recommend Porn Quest! Otherwise, enjoy!

I'm actually gonna play around with this thing over the weekend a little - looks like one could make a very nice game with this!
