Both have it for about R4K. Definitely a bit steep. Keep looking around you'll no doubt find it cheaper

Thanks. I had also found those links, but since the prices were more than IC, I dont consider them as options. And it baffles me how these guys are more pricy than IC

Its R3500 at IC. So I presume it MUST be cheaper somewhere else, because thats just how IC prices are

I see tons of Acer and LGs but the new Samsung isnt that common with the etailers..

Anyone seen this 226BW less than R3500?

ACER 22" Wide LCD, AL2216,Value Line WITHOUT Speakers, 5ms response time, VGA -Sub ,DVI, 1680x1050 - 3year Warranty

Will be adding this to PH later today at about R3250 inc vat.

We can get the MAG much cheaper, but unfortunately there is no stock at the moment

I'll find out about that Samsung and let you guys know.

Using a Canon 400D this weekend for some photos so Ill take the ones of the screen with that.

Same here.

I researched this thing to the ends of the earth.

I nearly gave up on a bigger monitor completely so I phone IC one last time and they had one unit in stock.

So i hopped in the car and drove there only to get a call on the way stating that the monitor has been sold.

Then at 15:00 the call came in that they just got stock in. Quick trip to IC again and now my baby is lying on my desk next to me.

Would have prefered to get it from someone other than IC, but couldnt find it cheaper online.

Glad to see you got your monitor. I am still deciding between the acer and the samsung plus broke from my overseas trip.

Dont even compare the Acer to this. The build quality on the Samsung is seriously superior to the Acer and so are the specs.

Im loving this monitor.

Better than anything I have ever worked on.

I know that but I have to weight up whether the Samsung extra quality is wroth the extra money. Thats what it has pretty much come down to for me.

Compared to the 19" BenQ I had this screen is just soooo wide.

My new desk setup looks pretty nice.

i almost bought the 22" myself but went for the 19" as it was a whole R1200 difference.

the 19" is also k!cka$$!

BTW why do u have a rubber chicken on ur desk and action figures on ur case? ROFL?
