I saw it on Incredible Connections little flyer. Nobody has stock.

I found a Fujitsu Siemens 22" For R3395. If it is the model that I think it is then it has RGB, VGA, DVI, S-Video and HDMI inputs.

Going to check it out a little later.

its seeming for the multimedia buff wanting a large monitor with okay resolution in a huge size with more inputs than you can shake a stick at is the 37" westinghouse which seems cheaper than both of those apple or Hp or dell 30" monitors
That screen was on special in the states for $1200. Over here we'll probably pay R20k.

Nope, I asked wantitall to source me a price > R13k all incl.

On this thing you can connect your Xbox 360, PS3, TV, and 2x graphics cards simultaniously.

Check the hardforum thread for more info on the Westy -

http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php ... 7&page=145

http://www.westinghousedigital.com/deta ... itemnum=56

I'm definately getting one within 3-4 months, for pc use.

For this price no other LCD/TV in this country comes close.

I just had a look at the 22" and I am really disapointed. Im not paying R3k + for 400 extra pixels.

I expected a little more than what I saw. Plus the FS only has 2 VGA ports. The IQ is not what I expected at all.

Nope. My money is safe for now. Im itching for the 24" dell.

also the res is a more graphics card friendly 1920x1080 even for pc usage - but thats absolutely perfect since the native res is the current highest spec for HI-DEF sources
Thanks for that info, I'll definitely take a closer look. I'm just apprehensive about the large dot pitch - reading fine text can't be too easy. Obviously for games/movies it would be great, but I want something to replace my 19" CRT for daily use.

Rayne are you getting this screen? Be sure to report back if you do.

We have a 42" 720p LCD at work with a res of 1366x768 and text is crystal clear, whether you're close up or from a distance. It isn't like a SD plasma or CRT TV where you can't read text. The 37" 1080p Westinghouse has around double the res of a 42" 720p LCD and is a smaller display so text should be even sharper. When I have the cash I'm going to jump on this deal.

Text and static images good yes. But nothing compares to Plasma yet for clarity in motion. I have many demo discs that I tested on the top of the range LCD TV's before buying a Plasma. The LCD's blur a lot and don't display true black, which is no good for home theatre use. It's less pronounced on the smaller LCD's, but once you get to 40" it gets very noticable.

But a nice big LCD for work use, graphic design etc will be awesome!

The problem with most of the plasma screens we get here is they are ED (840x480) whereas the HD (1280x720 or 1920x1080) LCDs are more readily available. Plasma has much better response time, contrast ratio and colour range. I'm not sure why we don't get HD plasma over here, they are similarly priced to the big screen LCDs overseas.

Most yes, and that's where Plasma falls short in this country, the readiness of fully HD sets.

Pioneer makes a very nice 50" fully HD plasma though, that I can get for very good prices... It truly is something to behold! 8O
