Design Critique

Post by Norri »

Hi guys,

I was hoping I could get a critique on the design at www.jogmymemory.co.za.

Thanks :)

It's cool, but a noob might wonder what all the red * are for.
Maybe give a descriptive.

Also, a nice background pic to make it a bit more exciting :)

Very nice, and I agree with Lithe about a description for the red *'s

Also something which might be a nice touch.

You have two fields which have example text (email address and subject)

I notice that you blank the field when focus is given to that field. How about putting the example text back in the field if the user enters nothing and gives focus to another object. so the logic would be if the field loses focus and the field value is empty then repopulate the example text.

welcome Norri... have a badger!
Check out the rule thingies
and give us an intro

most of all... don't advertise your site.... it's permitted for the regulars, but senseless spamming of site, blog and the all the other url detritus found on the net gives most folks a migraine...
</forum nazi>

besides all that.. still looking a little sparse.. how about things like cricket/rugby scores, or optional weather updates, etc?...

Sorry rustypup -- I didn't even check the rules. I just saw that this is where I could ask for opinions.

Will be more careful from now on, thanks :)

I love the suggestions so far. Never thought of the red *s from the perspective of a new internet-user.

Thanks!

Are you using IE? If so - goto options and change your font.
