Bummer...try selling them if the supplier allows that! Otherwise I'll pay for courier to me and you can sponsor me with them

*ducks at the incoming carrots being thrown at him* :P

DAE if you thought I meant it like that, then either my writing was bad or you were eating something meaty and got lost in it way too much...

the only piece of meat I would refer to would be from a prime steak pie or a Sunday roast beef... *dribble*

LOL!!! Yeah you know me... TT... But i was sponsored this fan, and i'm gonna use it. Hopefully it wont be the disappointment that every other TT product i've ever used has been. But look, i'm very happy, it's R150 bucks that i didn't have to spend, so i'll use the fan ;)

It wouldn't be very noce of me to sell something that got given to me by a sponsor, now would it? :P

No i'm gonna keep it. I'm sure i'll find a use for it someday ;)

Thanks man :D

Okay, after seeing the amazing work W1K did while planning his next mod - Serenity - in Sketch-Up, i decided to give it a go and learn how to use Sketch-Up. It's pretty easy, i must say. Anyway, here's some of the planning for the inside of the external enclosure. Please excuse the low quality of the models, i had to create each and every single one of those models myself (except the fan) just to make sure that my dimensions, etc etc etc are all good :)

I have yet to plan the actual look of the enclosure, all i've done is plan the inside, which is also not complete. This is just a rough draft. Click the links under the images for some 1680x1050, uncropped High res goodness.

No i generally don't like LED fans, i'd rather have a fan with NO LEDs than a fan with. I might put a blue LED fan on the radiator of the PC itself, but i'll see when the time comes.

Okay, i've basically finished the design for the external enclosure. I have still not got a card reader in there because i have yet to source one and measure it so that i can create it in Sketch Up. Otherwise, the model is pretty much complete. I moved a few things around so as to make the enclosure itself slightly smaller. I also placed the USB ports on front now as opposed to sitting somewhere closer to the back (which was a STUPID idea from the beginning).

Anyway, here are the images, high res images under these ones. I suggest you have a look at the high res ones, much nicer ;)

That's the basic idea for the final design.

I'm also in the process of ordering a reservoir (or two) amongst other things. I'm stuck guys. I can't decide. It's between the following:

I can either have Two of these on top of the case,

Or perhaps one or two of these some where inside or outside,

Or, of course, there's also the Swiftech Res which is also great.

I have yet to decide. I'll see how i feel later and then i'll place my order.

Let me know what you think :D

Just a question...

Will you add air vents or any such thing on the top part of the case you are designing. From the parts shown in your design so far you only have one hole occupied by a fan... However, seeing as there can not be any flow of air, you will not really gain advantage from the fan...

I know you want to keep it clean and light and quiet, but you need airflow...

Just a consideration, seeing as you most likely thought about it...

Hey man :D

With regard to airflow, i actually plan on making the entire bottom of the enclosure mesh, or something to that effect to allow maximum airflow and cooling. ;)
