Sigs can be big as they want, I dont really mind...

But it's up to the admins....

And it will affect the smaller 56k surfers if sig size grows, and it will slow down the forum aswell...

Well, for some response from "Higher up" :D

Personally, I think it's a bad idea. Well, no, it's not a BAD idea, but it's not a good idea either. It's just a neutral idea, so why do it?

I for one, don't get what everyone's obsession is with a fantastically graphical sig, the same as I don't get the obsession with a high post count.

Your sig doesn't say much about you, other than that you can nicely use the crop tool in PS, and in some cases, some other tools as well. ;)

Look at my sig. It says exactly what I want it to. And it gives some insight into my personality, yet it is not overly complicated (or littered with Animé  ), and it's just 3.5k (Dimensions: 204 x 65)
What more do you need?

Besides, Off-The-Chart, your sig is over weight. 22kB is 2 kB more than you're allowed. Fix it. :D

I get the picture and its Completely practical, since the threads on this forum are mostly of intellectual value.

To move away from the 1+1=2 kind of thinking, necessity is not the only thing that is necessary. (That is such contradiction right there, but read further)

Some people, feel that those 'namby pamby' (Hah!, i love boston legal) threads are not enough to give a representation of themselves. If you think about it, this thread, for quite a few, has been more than just a place where nerds can help them fix their pc. Here Some people respect other people on these forums, and want to show themselves off a bit. It makes them feel worth a little more.

Now if increasing a sig size might do that, And wont get in the way too much of your good advice giving, do you think it could benefit somebody.

ok so even though at this point I am pretty sure the ruling will go towards rusty, I still had to ask... at least hopefully that isn't a crime as well...

plus rusty, I would have those adds after each post rather than in some cases, the same quote/saying of others...

sorry if this thread stepped on anybodies toes...

EDIT: Ok so I almost blew my lid and typed something I shouldn't have...

EDIT2: kronos, how can 16kb's be 2kb's overweight? the limit is 20...

self expression and aggrandisement has its place, and probably serves a purpose... just not tagged on to every post..

thread's like , (rattles his brain), the gretel's art thread are great... it showcases the talent we have on the forums.. but it loses impact if it occurs 10 times in one page.. yes??

@OTC: my toesies! ... j/k  it's a nice idea, just not very practical in the wild....

I must agree with the practical thing, from that point of view, I also ask: 'But Why?'

But from my artistic point of view, that little hole in your door there, It seems quite fun... Yes fun.

My contribution is to have a 0KB sig. :sly: (Does it show as that size on your PC too?) Not quite sure why it shows as that size, but at least no one can complain about it.

Your sig dimensions are too big anyway Lance

well at least we have SGS OTC

EDIT:

Decisions not to have a bigger one doesnt surprise me. Actually 10 v 3 and the 3 wins is just like a democracy. What does Cameron say. Surely someone like Cameron likes to see creativity flourish, especially being in the media...??

The dimension restriction is fine by me, but I would like the size limit raised to 30 or 40kb

8O How do you get a sig with the size 'Not availible?' When I right click and say properties on your sig, it says size: 'Not availible' It is kinda impossible to have something with no size...
