Yeah enigma, rush sorted this out previously! Soz for the plagiarism, if you want, but don't take it to heart! This thread has fizzled away anyway, i hope to get it up and running again soon, however there won't be any intention of ripping you off! Hope you understand!

Yeah RAM really doesn't make a difference when it comes to rendering 3d graphics - the only improvement you'll see is your loading times will be shorter.Mitchell C wrote:I got 13012 with:
Geforce fX 5600 Ultra 128MB Overclocked to 505/912
Athlon XP 2800+
512Mb RAM DDR400 Lowest CAS,etc.
Abit NF7 v2 Mobo
Interesting thing is that I only got 4 extra marks from adding 256Mb extra ram.
Intel Core i7-950 | MSI X58 Pro-E, STK1366 | Geforce GTX470 1280 | 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM | Samsung 226BW Monitor | Windows 7 Home Premium
Mine used to be around 11000 but now around 13000 cos i overclocked my system. Dont know exact score. Been some time since i ran 3dmark.
Athlon XP 2500+ @ 3200+
FSB: 400MHz
Kingston 2x512MB DDR400 Dual Channel

I just upgraded my processor (actually i destroyed my old one so this wasn't by choice )
13360 - 3dmark 01
4747 - 3dmark 03
My system specs are now:
Amd +3000 barton
512mb ddr333
Raedon 9700Pro
Scores are a smidge low aren't they?

hmmm, ive grown a bit tired of high performance (and jealous) , what about PCF's 15 lowest 3dMarks2001 scorers ?
My system (Duron 1.2; 128 mb DDR266; TNT2 M64) scored a crappy 721 marks in 3dMarks2001. Just recently i blew the procesor and am now stuck with a Duron 850mhz (an old Spitfire core) which doenst even have SSE support. After that i added a GeForce2 32mb MX200 but Marks2001 still won't run (due too that missing SSE support) so ya, any1 score lower than me?

I still say there is somethign wrong there I get 6600 with an MX440. I wonder what I will get with a 256MB FX5700amdretard wrote:well i get 6000
my **** machine is a 1ghz amd
512mb
9600Xt
if i added amd 64 3000 and 1gig of ddr433 what score would i get

that wont happen......ever........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - 3dmark has nothing whatsoever to do with SSE since SSE means straming SIMD executions with the SIMD bit meaning single instruction multiple data and 3d mark will work with any cpu that i know of - guys have even tested with 486's and managed to get scores of around 400 points - so you have some other problembut Marks2001 still won't run (due too that missing SSE support)
if you have directx 9 installed then make sure you have the patch installed to allow the API to work - it should run but it wont give a nature result

I only have a 2.4GHz, 800MHz FSB with 512Kb L2 cache You have 1MB which makes a big diffirence in execution speed of the actual application. (Prefetch utilization and all)
1.25Gb 333MHz RAM So you got faster RAM
And you have an SATA which is way faster than my old ATA
But the MX I got has 128MB RAM
And it is not overclocked.

Not quite just forgot to log in properly. I got a new work trig but it is irritating the living crap out of me since it only has 256MB RAM and I am sooo used to 1.25GB.skunkymunky wrote:did he get tired of his post count
The 3DMark2001 score is 6600 without any overclocking since I am only borrowing the card from a mate until I get an fx5700 on wednesday.
Will try and do another bench at that time. A kind of before and after comparison
