Ooh Sh*t*! 2000 upgraded too XP

Post by amock »

scary things happen when u let other people touch your pc (i'm generally very possesive over it), and looking at what just happed to mine i had every right to be paranoid.

a mate of mine tried to upgrade win 2000 pro too win XP pro on my pc. without creating a partition and without just chosing to upgrade from 2000 to XP he installed XP on the same drive as 2000 (2 full version, seperate OS's). when installing XP he also changed my filling system from FAT32 too NTSF. my system is now unstable at times and doesn't have the performance that 2000 had alone. on my 1 drive I now have the 2 operating systems installed with no partition and can chose betwean the 2 on boot up. i've been searching the web for a solution as to how i can uninstall win 2000 pro and leave XP as is but, haven't found anything yet except for uninstalling 2000 when dual booting with a 9x OS which says i should delete the WINNT folder and then edit some boot logs or something.

Anyone have any ideas?...........
