Re: Your Desktop
Bumping this thread
Not much has changed since my last desktop post, except for the new Samurize config and the fresh install. I finally got my Win 7 Pro disc last week, so I could clean off the RTM I had installed.

Re: Your Desktop
Yeah man, I run lots, hehe. I still love Ubuntu, but I absolutely need Windows for my work related tools. So Win 7 on my two notebooks and Ubuntu on my home desktop. I might load Windows dual boot on the desktop as well for some games at some point though...

Re: Your Desktop
Interesting. I didn't know that you were still using Ubuntu as your primary desktop OS.
Man, I'd love to use Ubuntu, especially for that freaking Scale Compiz plugin (I loved that plugin), but Windows 7 is just TOO good not to use

Yup. On my main laptop I have 4...ADT wrote:You using 3 different browsers?? mm interesting
Re: Your Desktop
Eish, many reasons. Firstly, I like trying out the different browsers. Main reason for 4 on my laptop though is that some of our sharepoint and application config sites only function properly in IE, and we have 2 different proxies, some sites are blocked on one and some on the other. So I have Firefox set up with one proxy, and Opera with the other...
Re: Your Desktop

Re: Your Desktop
Any particular reason you don't just use one of the proxy extensions to help?ryanrich wrote:So I have Firefox set up with one proxy, and Opera with the other...

Re: Your Desktop
Doesn't foxy proxy do that? I used to use that.
Or does it only enable & disable a single proxy?
I'm too lazy to check now

Re: Your Desktop
Me too - it gets annoying having to change settings all the time.
